Peñíscola is a picturesque coastal town located in the province of Castellón, elected as one of the most beautiful villages in Spain. The town is situated on the Costa del Azahar (Orange Blossom Coast) along the eastern coast of Spain. 

Peñíscola is known for its well-preserved medieval castle known as the Castillo de Peñíscola or the Castle of Papa Luna. 

Peñíscola boasts several stunning beaches, including Playa Norte and Playa Sur where you can swim in the crystal clear water and sunbath on the golden sand.

09:00 Departure from Valencia

Departure from Valencia is at 9:00 am. We meet at 08:45 in front of Mestalla (Avenida de Argon, 31)

11:00 Arrival and visit of the city

We will arrive around 11:00 and will have a tour in the city where we will show you the best locations, such as the Game of thrones filming sites.

Visit of the castle and garden

Free time at the beach

After visiting the castle we will have free time to relax at the white sand beaches of Peñiscola or to discover the city even more.

18:00 Heading back to Valencia

After a beautiful day, it is time to go back and head to bus to Valencia. We meet at the bus 15 minutes beforehand.

The castle dates back to the 14th century and represents a spectacular construction. It rests on an imposing rock, culminating at 64 meters above the sea. The castle is so beautiful that the antipope Benedict XIII (Pedro de Luna also called Papa Luna) decided to make it his residence. Its historical charm attracts a lot of tourists.

Choosen as  one of the most beautiful villages in Spain, this destination has also been used as a filming location for the hit series Game of Thrones and for several movies, among which we can mention “El Cid”. During our visit, we will be able to see 2 or 3 sites where the series Game of Thrones were filmed.

Overall, Peñiscola is a perfect destination for those looking for a blend of history, culture, and natural beauty. With its stunning beaches, historic landmarks, and delicious cuisine, Peñiscola is sure to leave a lasting impression on any visitor.

How can you book the trip?

You can book on the website or at our office in Plaza Honduras, 26 from 09:30 to 14:30.

Do I have to book in advance or can I pay on the day of travel?

Yes, it is necessary to book in advance, as we cannot guarantee that there will be places available on that day.

What are the cancellation policies?

In case of day trips (same day return)
Up to one week before the excursion 100% refund in the form of money or voucher for other excursions.
Until Thursday (20:00) of the same week of the excursion 100% refund in the form of a travel voucher.
After Thursday, no refund. 

In case of a trip of more than one day (Overnight)
Up to 1 month before: 100% refund
Up to 3 weeks: 80% refund
Up to 2 weeks: 50% refund
After 2 weeks: No refund

In case of no-show on the day of travel there is no refund, in case of late arrival at the meeting point there is no refund.

Where does the bus leave from?

Normally our buses leave from Avenida Aragón 31 (Mestalla). However, after booking, you will receive all the details with the ticket by email (please check your spam folder in case you receive the email immediately after booking).
